Overview & Highlights

This is a great day gravel ride starting from South Cle Elum, WA and working deeper into a semi-deep, mountainous area the Cascades. Beautiful ridgeline riding with plenty of views looking over the deep green mountains and landscape. Two water sources available at 19 mi and 21 mi. A big lookout at the top of a cliff and looking over the Cle Elum Valley at the end of the ride. The main decent at the end of this ride is one of the best you can find. Long, incredibly smooth and FAST. Confidence on my bike averaging about 26 mph through long winding turns. This ride is definitely recommended for an excellent day ride!

Notes & Hazards

This ride starts off with a lot of elevation gain that doesn’t let off until about 1:30-1:45 into the ride. After the initial climb the rest of the ride is pretty smooth sailing, besides one other short climb in the middle of the ride. All the roads are well maintained and smooth, except for one small section after the second climb. This part is on a decent and gets very steep, rough and rocky, although it doesn’t stay bad for too long. The ride starts and ends with about 15 mins of pavement.
